My journey began at the tender age of eight when I discovered my fascination with nail enhancements, which later evolved into a full-blown obsession. At 16, I took my first steps into the professional realm at a local nail salon, initially unsure but driven by an undeniable love for the craft. Working hands-on with clients allowed me to hone my skills, laying the foundation for what would become a remarkable career.

A graduate of North Shore Senior High School, my path redirected toward the beauty industry after a brief stint in junior college. Enrolling in the cosmetology (manicurists) program at San Jacinto College was a pivotal moment, where I had the privilege of learning from the renowned S. Villarreal, a distinguished nail artist from Galveston, TX. She became my instructor, mentor, and the guiding light that shaped my journey into the nail industry.
Since completing the cosmetology program, my professional journey has been marked by enriching experiences at various salons across the Greater Houston area. Beyond being a service provider, my commitment to nails has opened doors to meaningful connections and lasting friendships. From a Nail Technician to a Professional Nail Artist and now a business owner, I take pride in making a difference as an African American in an industry where we are often the clients but not the owners.

My journey has been one of overcoming skepticism and breaking barriers. Despite being told that my ethnicity was unconventional in this industry, I persevered and used my platform to shatter stereotypes. In October 2018, I realized my dream with the opening of The Golden File Mani│Pedi, an endeavor that has been met with overwhelming support. I am humbled by the trust bestowed upon me by my incredible clientele, who continue to turn to me for their nail needs.
To stay at the forefront of industry trends, I dedicate myself to continuous improvement. Regularly attending nail art classes and leveraging digital platforms to explore new techniques, I ensure that my clients at The Golden File Mani│Pedi receive an unparalleled and personalized pampering experience. My goal is simple yet profound – to provide an unmatched level of service that leaves a lasting impression and elevates the art of nail care.
